The Oscars: A Time for Charity with Children Uniting Nations
Category:Philanthropy

The Oscars will be held this Sunday. People all over the country — and world! — will tune in to see what Hollywood’s celebrities are wearing, and to find out if their favorite film won the industry’s most prestigious award.

But who says that Oscar season can’t also be a time for charity?  Children Uniting Nations — an organization that is dedicated to reshaping the lives of at-risk and foster youth through positive mentoring and academic advocacy — hosts an annual viewing party that raises money for their organization.

As we watch Hollywood’s dreams come true, this evening is about the most voiceless children in our community who are afraid to dream. — Daphna Edwards Ziman, founder of Children Uniting Nations
