Before digital photo-editing programs were readily available, Aubrey Chernick created photo effects using physical filters that attached to the lens of his camera. The results were similar to the effects that you can get using today’s “Instagram” filters. During a sailing voyage with his friends, Norm, Mel and Ruth, in 1976, Aubrey Chernick created a “Mystical” photo filter. Watch the video to see how the photos turned out.
